Hazel, the Managing Director of Southern Oracle, brings a wealth of experience and academic excellence to her role. Holding a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree in Risk Management and Insurance from Midlands State University, she laid a solid foundation in the industry. Her academic pursuits continued, and she has since earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Midlands State University.

Her professional credentials are equally impressive, with a Certificate of Proficiency in Short-term Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe, a Certificate of Proficiency in Reinsurance from ZEPRE Academy, and a Licentiate Certificate from the Insurance Institute of South Africa. Currently, she is pursuing an upgrade to Associate membership with the Insurance Institute of South Africa, demonstrating her commitment to ongoing professional development.

With over a decade of dedicated service in the insurance sector, Hazel’s journey began at Zimnat General, where she started as a Graduate trainee and rose through the ranks to become the Chief Underwriter. Her exceptional leadership skills and technical expertise earned her the pivotal role of Chief Technical Underwriter at Sanctuary Insurance Company.

Before joining Southern Oracle, Hazel held key positions at Bluefin Risk as Chief Underwriter and later as Head of Underwriting at Champions Insurance. Her career trajectory is a testament to her hard work, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence in the dynamic realm of insurance.
